Altarine Partners was launched in January 2013 to address the growing needs of the asset management industry for quality and reliable risk management advisory. We aim to provide customised advisory and training services to help our clients address the increasing requirements for proper risk management solutions.
Isabelle Tykoczinski is the founder of Altarine Partners. She brings over 20 years of experience in financial markets, investment and risk management combined with a thorough quantitative and technical expertise.
She started her career in investment banking, specialising in structured products, commodity and equity derivatives - she worked for Indosuez, JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley. For the past 10 years she has been servicing the asset management industry with a primary focus to deliver risk management solutions and systems. She spent in particular 5 years heading Measurisk in Europe (a Bear Stearns then JP Morgan company) a leading hedge fund risk monitoring and transparency platform. More recently she was the Partner in charge of Risk and Valuation Services at Kinetic Partners.
Isabelle is French and has been working in London since 1994. She graduated from an engineering Grande Ecole in France - ENSAE-SEA (National School of Statistics and Economics, Paris) - with a Major in Finance. She also has a Master Degree (DEA) in Probability and Stochastic Calculus and Application to Financial Markets from the University of Paris VI and she is a Qualified Actuary (member of the French Institute of Actuaries).
As many adjustments are required to adapt to the evolving risk requirements, fund managers, investors and service providers do not always have the necessary resources and expertise available in-house - and it is often more effective to use external advisors.
